Rehoboth selectmen ratified a 13-article special town meeting warrant, adding special legislation for firefighter Nathaniel Dyer. The board voted by voice with no opposition heard. Article 13 would let Dyer serve until 70 with an annual physical, and would move on as a home rule petition if town meeting agrees.

A speaker said the Community Preservation surcharge in Article 9 would rise from 1 percent to 3 percent. Articles 8 and 10, both zoning bylaws, need a two-thirds vote and 75 people present. Selectmen also appointed Valerie Souza to the Council on Aging Board and approved the road names Bridal Path and Paddock Lane for Liberty Estates.
