Rehoboth Conservation Commission Continues Three Hearings to June 3

REHOBOTH — May 20, 2014 — Rehoboth Conservation Commission continues three hearings and issues two negative determinations at May 20 meeting. The board voted unanimously to carry the Compadres Restaurant hearing at 569 Winthrop Street and the Enos family horse farm notice of intent — both to June 3 — while a contested wetland line flagged in February snow must be re-delineated before the horse farm order of conditions can be written. Consultant Otis Stein, appearing on two matters, said of delineator Walter Hewitson's February work in heavy snow cover, "He'll understand when he sees all the cat tails." The commission issued negative three determinations for a proposed house at 182 Pine Street and a garage for Arthur Warner, finding neither project triggers a formal notice of intent, but conditioned Warner's approval on staked hay bales and a pre-construction check-in. The Palmer River applicant, who had not installed previously required hay bales, was also continued to June 3.
