Rehoboth police host drug take-back event Saturday
The Rehoboth Police Department, working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, is collecting unwanted prescription drugs Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 334 Anawan Street.
The Rehoboth Police Department announced Oct. 1 that it will join the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for a prescription drug take-back event on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rehoboth Police Department, 334 Anawan Street. Residents can drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs, including pills and patches. The department cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps.
The town said the service is meant to help prevent pill abuse and theft by letting people clear potentially dangerous medications out of their homes. It is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
For more information about the event or to find another drop-off location, residents can visit the DEA's drug take-back website.
